The Greater Benefits to a Healthy Lifestyle

We all enjoy the idea of getting fit for all the physique results we desire.

Whether that be a smaller waist? A bigger and more firm bum? Or even just to see a certain number on the scale that we think will define us and make us worthy. But what about the greater benefits to a healthy lifestyle?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having physique goals, but I do believe it is vital to know the greater benefits. To actually take note of the amazing shifts they have created in your life. It will also ensure longevity in keeping well and fit through exercise.

When your body morphing desires change into searching for something more to be done with your time.

1. Exercising can reduce your dementia risk.

Exercising can improve cognitive function and decrease the decline into cognitive impairment.

2. It can decrease your osteoporosis risk.

Weight bearing exercise is known to increase bone density. So if you have a family history of this affliction then for sure turn up the resistance-based workouts. Aging more gracefully is definately one of the greater benefits to a healthy lifestyle.

3. Healthy ageing, something so many crave but don’t know the how to.

Keep your metabolism healthy through keeping your lean muscle mass higher, keep up the strength to perform everyday tasks and prevent debilitating body formation issues later on in life .

4. Improve your digestion.

Yup I said it, exercising can help you cope with digestive symptoms from the likes of IBS and any other inflammatory disorders. Exercising helps to keep peristalsis strong and helps broken down food and waste move through your system correctly. A stronger core means a less sluggish colon, at least from a strength perspective. You will still need to make sure you make healthier food choices.

5. Keep stress, anxiety and depression at bay

We know exercise boosts our mood, as neurotransmitters and endorphins are releases but just be sure to chose exercise you love anyway. There is no harm in killing two birds with one stone by making that gym time a serious down time zone for you whether that be Zumba, Pilates or weight training.

6. Get glowing skin!

Yup that is a side effect as you increase circulation all over your body your skin also benefits. Plus exercise can be quite detoxing. So once you have managed to work through all that needs removing from your body your skin will shine with the benefits.

7. Work performance and productivity seem to increase with exercise.

Which many companies know and so have included wellness packages for their staff. You can focus so much better after a sweaty workout session.

8. Find more friends, especially more like-minded ones!

Lockdown took this from us, however heading to a space you love to spend time in will help you find people who do just the same! What a great time to increase interactivity while sharing our goals and motivation.
