Training legs – Top questions asked

My insta takeover weekend top tips!

If you didn’t know, I (Izzy) took over the Fit Bands Instagram page this past weekend and it was great! Lots of questions were asked and I’m going to share a couple of the tops ones right here in summary for you! The top questions you asked for training legs and more

Recovery methods:

Yoga, which so many people were interested, in is a great tool for recovery AND relaxation! But if yoga isn’t accessible to you there are other options. You can do some foam rolling, take a hot Epsom salt baths and even go for a massage. There are also a couple good yoga/stretch apps such as asana rebel and down dog.

Lean down the legs:

There has already been a blog post about leaning down your legs, but in addition you can focus on a variety of training methods. Including HIIT, sprints, and heavy weights. Also including banded work can help get that going for you.

Workout split:

In terms of how workouts should be split in a week, well that is up to you. There are so many different ways of making it work that there cannot be one right way. You can do full body days 3 days a week, push pull days or even traditional body building style. That is completely up to you. You need to understand how stiff you get, how much energy you have to give and the best way to determine this is to give each a go for a few months and decide!

Building the glutes:

If you watched Fit bands Instagram stories on Sunday you would have seen that I recorded tons of exercises. Training legs does not have to be complicated. There were options using the Fit Band and options without, plus their variations. (these are now saved in the highlights on the insta account)

The main moves for glutes and legs are:
-Hip thrusts
-And anything banded like kickbacks and side to side walks

There are endless possibilities just with these moves right here, so have fun with them. Tag us in your variations, would love to know how you all get on and how many times you can incorporate the bands! It makes a workout extra tough.

Thank you to everyone who interacted with me over the weekend, I had a blast! Camella AKA Fit Farm Girl tells me here will be more Insta takeovers coming up!
