Weekend Workouts – More time to get active?

Are you someone who takes the weekend off from workouts and training?

Or do you enjoy weekend sessions? Does the fact that there is more free time on the weekend motivate you to squeeze in a workout? There is no doubt that weekends bring with them more time and more freedom to do what feels right for you and your body. I hope this includes healthy movement.

There is research to support the fact that,

even if you miss the week of exercise, a weekend workout can still benefit your health and lower your risk of early death and chronic disease. That is quite intense for a Wednesday I apologise, but the facts remain!

An even better benefit in my eyes? Is that you can be involved in more participation sport, such as cycling and tennis. These are still intense forms of exercise, am I right? Weekends mean more socializing – so this time, freedom and need to move, can translate into so many fun adventures. You can choose a new hiking spot, play a game of touch rugby among friends and better yet you could attend a women’s fitness event and meet new people.

Are you a weekend warrior? Will we be seeing you at our mind.booty.soul event on Saturday? We sure do hope so! Please follow the link in our page if you have yet to join this weekend movement.
